- Remember that wildly offensive Dockers Ad? (I can't find it on their website anymore. Looks like they got enough complaints for them to take it down.) But other ads along the same line are still up on their website. And they're all over NYC too. I took some pictures here, here, and here. (Sorry for crappy quality. Cell phone pictures.)
There seems to be a lot of this stuff going around lately. From the Superbowl ads (Especially the Dodge one. It was filled with so much cold fury it made me recoil.) to this: Butch Baker. "We make manly cupcakes. For manly-men." This one is way less offensive than say Dockers, but it's still indicative of an alarming trend. - Have a picture of my cat while I'm uploading photos from my phone. This, my friends, is the infamous bitch-kitty. Guaranteed to claw your face off in under five seconds. Isn't she fluffy? Well it's a trap.
- So that guy who was arrested for possessing comics depicting underage sex has been sentenced to six months in jail. I find this really alarming. Are we really this paranoid? Regardless of whether or not we're comfortable with what's in those comics, it's not our business to punish people for it. What he does alone in the privacy of his home is not our business. I don't buy that it's going to encourage him to go and touch little girls and boys. That's like the argument that video games make kids kill people.
- Drama going down with my parents. Ugh.
