And the award goes to....
Jan. 26th, 2009 05:42 pmNeil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book just won the Newbery Medal!
I am so excited! It definitely deserved it.
I actually boggles me a little to imagine school children reading Neil Gaiman for class, but all we ever read in elementary school were Newbery books so it has a pretty high chance of happening. I would say something about Neil Gaiman getting some much deserved attention, but he's already the closest a fantasy writer will ever come to being a superstar. With the exception of JKR, but, you know, JKR is a considerably less talented writer. We won't get into that though...
Anyway. Congratulations to Neil Gaiman. And to anybody who is interested: he's going to be on The Today Show tomorrow morning.
