I found a kickass webcomic the other day that I thought I'd share with everyone.
Hannah Is Not a Boy's Name
The plot is fun (hapless "paranormal investigator", read: Captain Failpants), but really what I want to point you guys to is THE ART OH MY GOD. Go look at it. Go look at the pretty. Also actually read the comic if you are so inclined and come back and talk to me about how great Zombie is. Seriously, he makes my life.

THAT'S ALL

  • The Cat Piano, a short animated film. Via [livejournal.com profile] rosalarian.
It's so perfectly creepy! The animation is spot on and the narrator has a dry delivery that's very well suited for the story. Am I the only person who thinks the whole thing is very Gaiman-esque?

  • As a certified flair addict on Facebook, I just ran across this. HOLY SHIT. JUST. One of the many reasons Twilight and its influence terrifies me.

  • I had a paper due today. Did I write it? No. I did however stay up until 7am, not write a single word, end up asking for an extension, going to bed and skipping all of my classes. Also I am officially sick. It could have been that I spent several hours yesterday sloshing around in the snow/sleet/hail in shoes full of freezing slush. Just a hunch.
It's just one of those days.
I swear I am way more responsible than this normally. Really!

  • Today's incentive for Khaos Komix made me double over laughing. Immature? Yes. Hilarious? Yes.

  • There's live coverage of the court battle against Prop 8. Updates throughout the day as far as I understand. The court has adjourned for today. Stay tuned for tomorrow.

  • A lot of people have been trying to get me to read the webcomic No Rest for the Wicked for a while. I finally got around to it the other day. If you like fairy tales, or retelling fairy tales, or just messing with childhood stories until they are creepy and strange I think you'll enjoy it.

  • A few days ago I had a fight in my snow-filled driveway with [livejournal.com profile] sythia over who got to ride shotgun. After several minutes of shouting, at least two attempts to climb through the window, and being nearly crushed by my best friend flinging her weight against me, she won. Even though I had called shotgun. We spent the entire car ride arguing over who had rightful claim to the front seat. After a while, Liz, our poor suffering driver informed us that we deserve each other. Truer words have never been spoken.

  • I'm back in New York. Everything looks good. My new roommate seems quite nice. She's read the A Great and Terrible Beauty books by Libba Bray, which I thought was pretty cool.

Metanoia updated! A whole chapter at once! This is so stupidly exciting.
For anybody who hasn't heard of it, Metanoia is an absolutely amazing webcomic. There's no easy way to summarize the plot, but I was never good at plot summaries anyway, but in short it's about a one very broken, jaded man and the second chance he is (or perhaps isn't) offered. It's got angels, demons, guns, attractive boys, attractive girls, the second best use of dream-sequences I've seen in webcomics after Yu+ME: Dream, and did I mention that it has slash? (Just on the off chance that anybody reading this might have more than a passing interest in that sort of thing *cough*) The characters are wonderfully real and the art is clean and expressive (with the very brief exception of the prologue but it gets a lot better very fast). [livejournal.com profile] gomichan has a way with characterization and Metanoia is no exception; it leaves you aching for the characters long after you've finished reading.

So point is, I think you should go read it. (And then comment because I am always looking for people to fangirl with)
