I return!

I find myself back in the States, which is... a relief. I was in Greece for the last three weeks and not that I didn't love it, but vacationing with somebody else's family is stressful and frustrating at times. It's good to no longer be in a situation where I have to worry about image 24/7 and attempt to live by the unspoken rules of another family. Which isn't to say sythia's family wasn't very good to me, because they were.

Greece itself was beautiful in a "behold our former glory!" sort of way. And the landscapes by the water are absolutely gorgeous. (Further inland it's a whole lot of hills covered in dried up grass and small twisted trees which was nice but monotonous.)

Now that I'm back I've been hit by a deluge of stuff to do. My study abroad stuff for the spring semester still hasn't been sorted out because Yale is a bitch. (What does Yale have to do with my studying abroad as an NYU student? It's a long story.) I'm supposed to move back in to my residence hall on Monday and I haven't even unpacked from my trip yet. I need to go shopping and I haven't done that either. In fact, just about the only thing I HAVE done is lie around all day in the throes of agony. As usual, my stomach has not taken well to the physical stress of travel.
Also I'm being summoned for jury duty in new york... I could technically say that I live in CT, but they want a deed or a utility bill or something to prove it. I'm like, but that's all in my parents' names...

Oh and I have to study for mother fucking Japanese shit I don't remember anything I need to review an entire semester oh my god I am so screwed I'm going to go cry emo tears now ahlsjdf augh

Sea Urchin-y Death

I just had to cut my finger open to remove a sea urchin spine. I put my hand on a sea urchin about two weeks ago and while I thought I had gotten all of the damn spines out, one spot healed strangely so that there was a bump on my finger. So yea...

It's bleeding a fuckload. Damn sea urchin bastard.
