Pinned ya again.

• bookshop is tired of justifying fanfic and really, so am I.
  ( In the past few weeks I've often found myself having to defend my participation in fandom. )
  
  
  
• I got my hands on a (beautiful) copy of The Man with the Knives, a new chap-book Ellen Kushner just put out that's a tie-in to her novel Swordspoint. I haven't read it yet, but I am so excited for it. I am waiting for the perfect moment to settle down with a cup of tea and something sweet to enjoy it. Certain stories just require a certain amount of ritual.
  
  
• On my last day of classes I lost my favorite pencil that has been my companion all year long. Weirdly symbolic.
