  • MY LIFE. FOREVER.

  • Hey, guess what, I finished Season 1 of White Collar. Which means that Kii and I have moved onto bigger and better things. And by that I mean more Doctor Who.

Okay, Time for Angels and Flesh and Stone were legitimately creepy as all hell. I wasn't expecting to be creeped out in Doctor Who by the monster alien of the week, but Weeping Angels are really effing freaky. (I don't know why, given the smilers from 5x02, The Beast Below.) They play off the same fear that makes you petrified of looking under the bed or in the closet at night when you're a kid.
One of my favorite moments was in Flesh and Stone when the Doctor started tearing up when he was exchanging final words with Father Octavian. I love that life is so precious to him. He is this completely badass ancient alien and he won't pick up a weapon to harm another living being. In anyone else it would be lame and overdone, but Matt Smith plays it perfectly. Hurting others kills him. (See: The Beast Below). Doctor, never change.
Also, the man River killed was the Doctor. I am willing to bet money on this.

The Vampires of Venice brings Rory into the picture. Poor Rory is the only voice of reason in the entire show. "They've not vampires! They're aliens!" "Classic. That's good news." "What is wrong with you people?"
There was so much tension between Rory and the Doctor! The scene where the Doctor comes out of the cake at the bachelor party? And then announces Amy kissed him? Brilliant. Rory is all: No. No no no! I want a stripper not some bloke in a bowtie that's been kissing my fiancé! This party sucks! Also: "Yours is bigger than mine." "Let's not go there..."
Was I the only person seeing Shakespeare references all over the place? When the father showed up in the court of the countess my first thought was: Othello! And then later the meek girl with flowers: Ophelia!
Anyway, oh Doctor, you are hilariously possessive of Amy and you don't even realize it. Also, bitch move Countess-fish-lady: way to add the death of another entire species to the Doctor's conscience. He looked so desperate... I am sadface.

    By the way:

Amy's Choice... where to even begin. Rory and the Doctor fighting over Amy? The Doctor totally being in denial about wanting Amy? (In my head he doesn't want her romantically. He just wants people to be his. I hope this is the actual canon.) It was hilarious and creepy all at once. Pregnant!Amy is wonderfully bitchy. But oh god no, doomed to a life of raising Rory's children in a middle of nowhere village? I'm so glad she didn't choose that life. Amy Pond was destined for greater things.
The Dream Lord actually being the Doctor? Amazing. "There's only one person in the universe who hates me as much as you do." Hi Tony Stark, I haven't missed you. WHY MUST ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS HATE THEMSELVES?
Also uh, was I the only person who thought Rory misinterpreted the Doctor asking where they should go? "Anywhere's good for me. I'm happy anywhere." Rory, he wasn't asking about a threesome. By the way, Rory so secretly wants to have a threesome with Amy and the Doctor. You know this to be true.

And I totes called whatever world the Dream Lord exists in being a dream. HAH. I think Kii is sick of hearing me predict things every five minutes.
